HKUST Business School
Country: Hong Kong
City: Hong Kong
The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, or HKUST for short, has been making waves from its stunning waterside campus since opening in 1991. By 2007 the Financial Times had already placed its MBA program amongst the top 22 in the world (where it has remained ever since) whilst The Times Higher Education Ranking adjudges it to be the top university in the world under 50 years old. Throw in the fabled triple-accreditation status, an international reputation for research and a faculty comprised of alumnus from the world’s top business schools, and you’ll soon start to see that this is far from a normal business school.
Being such a young institution by higher education standards means that HKUST is naturally inclined towards modern and emerging areas of study such as Computer Science, Environmental Responsibility and Fintech. It’s located within touching distance of the growing financial powerhouse that is China, meaning students here are in the perfect place to understand the Chinese economy, grow accustomed to its business practices and of course benefit from the school’s close links with employers both here and worldwide.
