About

Business School Netherlands

Business School Netherlands (BSN) may be a young business school, but it has already made an impact around the globe. Its home campus is in the picturesque town of Buren, located around one hour from the major Dutch cities of Amsterdam, Rotterdam, and The Hague. Since it was founded in 1988, BSN has expanded to include 11 partner branches around the world, in places such as China, Czech Republic, Algeria, Ghana, and Suriname. This worldwide network of schools allows BSN to fulfill its mission of creating a global “Action Learning” community of business leaders.

Action Learning is the central principle of the school’s learning philosophy. Originally developed in the 1940s by a British management consultant, it is now used by the likes of Samsung, General Electric, and Heineken to solve complex business problems. It encourages workers to work closely together as a group, engage in dialogue, and only take action after identifying several possible solutions – and it’s an approach with a proven track record. Action Learning projects created at BSN have been implemented around the world, showing that it’s a truly global skill.

The idea of Action Learning is also embedded within BSN’s MBA programs, which come in two formats. The first is a mix of in-person and online learning that takes place over the course of 24 months. Although you’ll attend workshops and conferences at the school’s Netherlands campus, the majority of the program is taught online. The other option is 100% online, which offers even more flexibility to students. Residential conferences are optional. Both programs are accredited by three prestigious international bodies – ACBSP, eduQua, and ATHEA – giving them a seal of quality supported by a Tier One rating in the 2021 CEO Magazine European MBA Ranking.
