Gabelli School of Business, Fordham University

New York City (USA) is a global financial, economic and political hub that serves as a base for some of the most influential organisations in the world. Yet even in today’s globalised world, proximity to and links with these organisations still matter. That’s where the Gabelli School of Business comes in. With a campus on the doorstep of the city’s financial district, it is uniquely placed to provide its students with career opportunities, class visits and guest lecturers that only New York is capable of providing.

The school’s close links with the New York Stock Exchange are reflected in its campus facilities, which include Bloomberg data terminals, state-of-the-art trading desks and live stock tickers. Its close links with the New York business community are reflected in its faculty of 100+ adjunct professors, most of whom are employed at leading New York firms. And its close links with partner universities across the world are reflected in the global study opportunities afforded to all Gabelli School students. It is a business school rooted in New York culture but with a global perspective.

The MBA programs at Gabelli School of Business come in three different formats. The Full-Time MBA is ideal for young professionals with 3 – 5 years work experience who are looking to change industry or job function. For those who want to advance in their chosen industry without sacrificing current work commitments, the Professional MBA comes in the form of evening classes over the course of 2.5 – 3 years. Finally, more experienced candidates who want to advance into senior management positions are best suited to the Executive MBA, which is a 22-month program with one three-day weekend of study per month. In line with the school’s Jesuit traditions, all of the MBA programs actively promote social justice, social entrepreneurship and environmental sustainability.

Frequently Asked Questions

What MBA programs does Gabelli School of Business offer?

The Full-Time MBA consists of a streamlined 60 credits, completed full-time in two years. Year 1 provides all core business courses up front, giving you an advantage as you interview for internships. Year 2 gives you the freedom to choose courses based on your interests and career goals.

The Gabelli School’s Professional MBA is designed for people who plan on keeping their jobs while they go through school. This program provides you with a next-level credential that will capitalize on your work experience—not duplicate it. It can be finished in as little as three years, nine trimesters. Classes meet after work or on weekends, and the Gabelli School’s class schedule allows you to make the most of your time at our Columbus Circle campus by taking two courses in the same evening.

The Executive MBA is delivered over 22 months, during one three-day weekend per month. Each 22-month Executive MBA experience concludes with an international capstone trip, the culmination of an in-depth, consulting-style business project. The students in the Executive MBA cohort collaborate to choose the country they’ll focus on, and the business problem their consulting work will solve. Then, once their consulting work is done, they get on a plane. In addition to presenting their project on site, they benefit from cultural events and lectures on how to do business within their country of choice.
