MBA Renewables is a programme jointly offered by Berliner Hochschule für Technik (BHT) and the private Renewables Academy (RENAC). Our programme benefits significantly from the collaboration of a state University of Applied Sciences and a private academy that is – while entirely independent – closely tied to the German renewable energy and energy efficiency industry.
Berliner Hochschule für Technik (BHT) is a technical university located in Berlin, Germany, offering a range of programs primarily focused on engineering, technology, and applied sciences. The institution emphasizes practical and industry-oriented education, supported by collaborations with local businesses and research centers. BHT maintains an international outlook through partnerships and exchange opportunities, fostering a diverse academic environment. BHT is the second largest University of Applied Sciences in Berlin, Germany. The school benefits from its urban setting, providing students access to a dynamic economic and cultural landscape.
The Renewable MBA program is taken online with only examinations taken in Berlin. Students also spend a couple of weeks on campus to deepen their technological knowledge. Germany has historically been a global leader in renewable-energy research, thanks to its sustainable-energy agenda and high levels of public funding. The result has been a wealth of opportunities for scientists and business professionals working in the private and public sectors of this field.
At this time, the MBA Renewable is not accredited.
BHT provides the first of its kind distance learning MBA Renewables. This program is highly flexible and can be studied online, from anywhere in the world. The program combines self-study, live lectures, interactive group work, and optional on-campus time in Berlin, Germany. To be eligible applicants must have a recognized undergraduate degree, a minimum of one to two years of work experience, and English proficiency.
The MBA Renewables program does not offer scholarships.
The MBA’s optional practical training module on "Advanced Practical RE and EE Implementation" gives students the chance to spend two weeks on campus in Berlin and deepen their knowledge by participating in hands-on training. The elective is a good opportunity for networking and getting to know fellow students.
