Location

ASB has a newly built, ultra-modern sprawling 22-acre residential and academic campus in Malaysia’s capital city, Kuala Lumpur. The campus is located near the central business district and is within walking distance from multiple rail lines. Their classrooms are modeled after those at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

Accreditations

Asia School of Business is a member of AACSB International (the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) and AAPBS (the Association of Asia Pacific Business Schools).

Programs

ASB offers two MBA programs. The “MBA 3.0” program is the first of its kind, blending theory and practice in an Action Learning method. The MBA 3.0 is full-time and 20 months, with an option to complete it in 16 months.

The MBA for Working Professionals (MBA-WP) program is a part-time, 22-month program, for working business professionals.

All programs at ASB are taught by award-winning MIT Sloan faculty as well as resident ASB faculty, combining the knowledge of MIT Sloan and the unique Asian perspective of ASB.

Scholarships

All admitted MBA students at Asia School of Business receive some form of financial aid.

ASB Fellowships, for example, cover 100% of the MBA 3.0’s tuition fee. Applicants are automatically considered for this merit-based Fellowship and do not need to submit a separate application form. The 30% Club Fellowship is a business-led campaign focused on promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion. Applicants for the MBA 3.0 must apply for this Fellowship separately.

The Tan Sri Yeoh Tiong Lay (YTL) Scholarship Award and the Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Dr. Teh Hong Piow Public Bank (PBB) Scholarship Award are for Malaysian applicants admitted to the MBA 3.0 program. Each scholarship is awarded to a deserving candidate once every two years.

ASB also works with corporate partners to secure Corporate Sponsorships for MBA candidates. Current MBA program sponsors include AirAsia Group, PETRONAS, and Bank Negara Malaysia.

Fun fact

ASB’s MBA students spend four weeks on MIT Sloan’s Cambridge campus, taking additional courses offered by MIT faculty and engaging in Sloan student activities. Upon finishing the Immersion Program, students receive a Certificate of Completion from MIT as well as an Affiliate Alumni Status.
