School

Location

The John Molson School of Business is located in downtown Montreal. As Canada’s second-biggest city and one of its main economic, cultural, and transport hubs, Montreal is regularly ranked as one of the most student-friendly cities in the world. Top employers in Montreal include Air Canada, Pfizer Canada, Danone Canada, and BNP Paribas. 

Although Montreal has a vibrant arts scene, diverse culture, and high quality of life, it is also easy to visit places like New York, Boston, and Toronto, making it an excellent location for a business school.

The John Molson Building is a modern 15-story building that includes high-tech teaching amphitheaters and classrooms, offices, social spaces, study rooms, and laboratories.

Accreditations

The John Molson School of Business was the first school in Montreal – and only the fourth in Canada – to receive the AACSB International accreditation. The Association to Advance Collegiate School of Business (AACSB) is the highest standard of achievement for business schools worldwide.

JMSB is also a member of the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD), the AMBA Development Network (ADN), and the Business Schools Association of Canada (BSAC). The school is certified by Women in Governance.

Programs

The John Molson School of Business offers three MBA programs. The John Molson MBA is a full- or part-time program with small class sizes, renowned faculty members, and practical training. The program is designed for professionals with a minimum of two years of work experience.

The John Molson Executive MBA is a 20-month program with classes on alternating Fridays and Saturdays. The program covers modern business concepts and teaches students how to adopt the big-picture view needed from senior leaders today.

Thirdly, the John Molson MBA in Investment Management is a two-year, part-time program with classes on Wednesday evenings and all day on Saturdays. Students will graduate with two professional designations: an MBA and a CFA, giving them a unique edge in today’s highly competitive job market.

Scholarships

Concordia University has over 1,700 awards totaling more than CAD$15 million. Students are automatically considered for scholarships if they meet the eligibility criteria. One example is the Indigenous Graduate Scholarship, which is awarded to Indigenous students from Indigenous communities and nations from Canada and the US, valued at CAD$10,000.

The Quebec and Canadian governments also offer a number of graduate scholarships, which candidates must apply for separately from their MBA application.
