Everything you need to know about: Asia School of Business

School

Asia School of Business, established in collaboration with MIT Sloan, offers a globally recognized, Asia-focused MBA designed to develop agile and transformative leaders. The 12-month program combines rigorous academics with immersive Action Learning, where students solve real business challenges with organizations across Asia and beyond. Its signature Integrated Management Lab strengthens cross-functional decision-making by bringing finance, strategy, operations, and leadership together in solving complex business problems. Students also benefit from a three-week MIT Sloan Immersion in Cambridge, gaining exposure to world-class faculty, innovation ecosystems, and global perspectives. Beyond graduation, ASB’s strong post-MBA pathways support careers across consulting, technology, finance, entrepreneurship, and leadership roles throughout Asia and internationally.

Location

ASB has a newly built, ultra-modern sprawling 22-acre residential and academic campus in Malaysia’s capital city, Kuala Lumpur. The campus is located near the central business district and is within walking distance from multiple rail lines. Their classrooms are modeled after those at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

Accreditations

Asia School of Business is accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) and AACSB International (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business). ASB is also a member of the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD Global) and the Association of Asia-Pacific Business Schools (AAPBS).

Programs

ASB offers two distinctive MBA programs designed to blend rigorous academic learning with real-world application.

The MBA program is a pioneering, full-time, 12‑month program that integrates theory with hands-on practice through ASB’s signature Action Learning approach. Students gain immersive exposure to diverse industries and graduate with multiple post‑MBA pathways to explore.

The Executive MBA—formerly known as the MBA for Working Professionals (MBA‑WP)—is a part‑time, 16‑month program tailored for experienced professionals who want to elevate their leadership capabilities while balancing work commitments.

All ASB programs are taught by award‑winning MIT Sloan faculty and resident ASB faculty, offering a powerful combination of MIT’s world‑class academic excellence and ASB’s unique Asian perspective.
