School
ALU School of Business is shaking up how business education works in Africa. Based in Kigali, Rwanda, it’s built for working professionals across the continent, blending remote learning with intense, in-person leadership sessions. The focus? Real impact, not just theory. It’s bold, pan-African, and all about building the next generation of leaders for the continent.
Location
ALUSB is located at the heart of Rwanda's capital city, Kigali. The campus attracts experienced professors and MBA students from across the African continent. Rwanda's economic program has boosted the country’s business reputation and international profile; it has one of the fastest-growing economies in the world. It is an eminent upcoming hub for students and young business professionals.
Accreditations
The programs at ALU School of Business are accredited by the Higher Education Council of Rwanda, which ensures higher education institutions are fit for purpose and are internationally credible.
Additionally, higher education institutions are required to deliver graduates, research, consultancy services, and community engagement to support the social and economic development of Rwanda.
Programs
ALU School of Business offers a pan-African MBA program, the first of its kind. Applicants need a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years’ work experience. This 20-month program is designed for business executives and professionals who aspire to pioneer change and transform the African continent.
The program is taught by leading experts in their field and filled with African business case studies that focus on the challenges particular to doing business in the African continent. The program blends online education and on-campus classes, allowing working professionals the flexibility to organize their studies alongside their careers.
In line with ALUSB’s mission, MBA students are encouraged to apply what they learn to real-life situations in the workplace.
Scholarships
ALU School of Business offers several funding options. The Employer Sponsorship option is available for students looking for partial sponsorship from their employers. The Chairman’s Scholarship is a US$15,000 award, recognizing African business leaders with a proven leadership ability in both the workplace and the community. Finally, ALUSB offers a variety of Partial Scholarships covering up to US$9,000. This includes the Women’s Scholarship, Social Impact Scholarship, Tech Scholarship, and the Creative Arts Scholarship.
