IMD’s campus is on the shores of Lake Geneva in Lausanne, where the scenic landscape serves as a backdrop to cutting-edge facilities. Lausanne is a dynamic regional capital, a hub for technology and innovation, and home to many international organizations such as the International Olympic Committee. It offers the high quality of life that Switzerland is known for, with vibrant markets, festivals, and a cosmopolitan lifestyle at the doorstep of the majestic Swiss alps.
Accreditations
In 2004, IMD gained the premier “triple-crown” of EQUIS, AACSB, and AMBA. EQUIS is an international accreditation awarded by the European Foundation of Management Development (EFMD). In 2022, they earned accreditation from the Swiss Accreditation Council.
Programs
IMD offers a full-time MBA and an Executive MBA. The minimum admission requirements are a bachelor’s degree, two years of work experience, GMAT scores, and English proficiency. The Executive MBA is a 15-month flexible program for working senior professionals.
Scholarships
IMD Business School offers a range of scholarships to students based on merit and financial need. These scholarships cover tuition fees, living expenses, and travel costs. Several scholarships are awarded to the best all around applications without needing an additional application.

IMD’s admissions process is highly selective and focused on diversity. The one-year MBA typically enrolls 100 students with over 40 nationalities. They graduate to join an alumni network of over 125,000 in 140 countries.
