Melbourne Business School has a strong focus on giving back to the community and regularly works with not-for-profit organizations to help improve their operations. MBA students work on a social project as part of the program. Last year, a group of MBA students worked for the Aboriginal Investment Group (AIG), an indigenous non-profit. The goal of the project was to prevent the spread of scabies. Scabies is a widespread health issue and can affect up to half the children in some Indigenous communities. The students' objective was to help AIG demonstrate the social return of investment of the project in terms of government savings, so they could better pitch the project to future sponsors.
