WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management has two campuses in Germany, one in Düsseldorf and the other in Vallendar. Campus Vallendar is located in the Upper Middle Rhine Valley, surrounded by historic towns, castles, and vineyards. Larger German cities, like Cologne and Frankfurt, are easily reachable from Vallendar within an hour. The town has more than 1,500 registered students, as well as plenty of student accommodation within walking distance of the main campus.
Campus Düsseldorf is based in the diverse, vibrant city and state capital of North Rhine-Westphalia. With a range of social, cultural, and natural attractions, there is plenty to see and do in Düsseldorf. As the largest central European economic area, the city also houses the headquarters of several international companies, such as C&A, Esprit, Trivago, Eurowings, and Peek & Cloppenburg.
WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management offers four MBA programs. The Full-Time MBA is a 12-month program for candidates with at least two years of work experience. The Part-Time MBA is a 24-month program with classes taking place on two weekends per month. Both the Full-Time and Part-Time MBA programs at WHU are intensive learning experiences, focused on both personal and leadership development, as well as critical thinking and communication skills. Both programs include three study abroad weeks, two in Asia (China and India) and one in the US. The Global Online MBA at WHU is a 24-36-month, part-time program, delivered both online and on-campus in Düsseldorf.
Finally, the Kellogg-WHU Executive MBA is for established professionals with strong leadership experience, who would like to expand their knowledge and global network. The program uses a modular format, taking place across seven campuses and requiring 57-63 days out of the office.
WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management is accredited by the European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS), the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), and the Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBAA).
WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management offers a variety of MBA scholarships based on various criteria. Available scholarships for the Full-Time MBA and the Online MBA include the WHU Scholarship for Participants from Developing Countries, the WHU Entrepreneurship Scholarship, the WHU Globalization Scholarship, and the WHU Diversity Scholarship. Available scholarships for the Part-Time MBA are the WHU Diversity Scholarship and the WHU Women in Business Scholarship.
Scholarships are also available for the top-ranked Kellogg-WHU Executive MBA program, such as the Innovation Scholarship, the Women in Business Scholarship, the Small and Medium Sized Enterprises Scholarship, and the Scholarship for “High Impact, Low Ego” Leaders.
One of the key focus areas at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management is digitalization. Through a number of activities ranging from research centers to hackathons to student clubs, the business school is dedicated to driving digital change and contributing to thought leadership on digital themes.
WHU’s Center of Digitalization, for example, serves as a platform for faculty members, bringing theory and practice together to examine all areas of digitalization. The One-Button Studio (OBS) is another example, using state-of-the-art technology to provide an ideal teaching environment for fully online learning.
Digitalization also shows up in students’ work. In 2018, more than 80 bachelor’s and master’s theses centered around digitalization, with topics like artificial intelligence, eSports, blockchain technology, autonomous driving, 3D printing technologies, and big data.
