A Global Career Leap from Russia to France

Irina Kozlova, originally from Russia, is an alumna of the MBA at EU Business School. She leads a truly global life. She was born in a city called Perm in the Ural Mountains. Yet, her global journey spans Russia (Moscow), Switzerland (Geneva), and now France (Paris).

She currently holds the role of Senior Product Marketing Manager EMEA at The Estée Lauder Companies Inc and is based in Paris.

“I speak English, Russian, and French. I love sailing, traveling, and Pilates,” Irina shares about herself. Her international mindset and passion for culture were key factors in her choosing to complete her MBA at EU Business School.

Why the MBA at EU Business School Was the Right Fit

Irina completed her MBA at EU Business School. The EU Business School has campuses in Barcelona, Geneva, and Munich, offering a truly European study experience.

While completing her EU Business School MBA, she was sowing the seeds for an international career. Her MBA journey helped to set her up for success, opening new career opportunities abroad. With the right support, she was able to launch her global career.

She reflects, “It was a very important time in my life,” Irina says. “The careers department at EU [Business School] gave me great advice, helped me with my CV, and even organized a photo shoot so I could get a great profile photo.”

This support helped her land an internship in international marketing at megabrand L’Occitane en Provence. “It had both a short-term and long-term influence on my career,” she adds. After her MBA experience, she was able to increase her salary and job position.

Moreover, it ultimately created new career opportunities for the long run.

Doubling Her Salary and Successfully Entering the Beauty Industry

After graduation, Irina returned to Russia, where her career took off. She says, “My MBA from EU gave me a great start, I almost doubled my salary! I had greater responsibilities and started managing a team.”

She worked for one of Russia’s biggest vitamin brands, part of Sanofi. However, she returned to the beauty industry when Estée Lauder offered her a position that sparked her next big career leap.

She highlights, “I received a great offer from Estée Lauder. I joined them as marketing manager for two premium brands, La Mer and Jo Malone London. I worked for them in Russia for over five years, leading marketing and commercial business for the brands. We worked with the whole region, which comprised seven markets. Then I took a product marketing role in Paris, managing 14 affiliates and premium fragrances for the EMEA region.”

She continues to use this invaluable work experience in her current EMEA-wide role as Senior Product Marketing Manager at Estée Lauder.
