Location
Located in the city center, ESMT Berlin’s Schlossplaltz campus offers students an exciting experience in one of the most unique cities in the world. With a high standard of living, well-connected public transportation, and plenty of cultural and entertainment events, Berlin is also considerably cheaper than most other capital cities. It is no wonder that Berlin is home to a large number of international students.
The job market in Berlin is also attractive for students, with the city housing companies the headquarters of companies like SoundCloud and Zalando. Berlin is also the startup capital of Germany (and possibly Europe). Must-watch, fast-growing companies in Berlin include grocery delivery service Gorillas and mobile bank N26.
Accreditations
ESMT Berlin is one of only four business schools in Germany to hold the “triple-crown” accreditation. ESMT Berlin is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS), and the Association of MBAs (AMBA).
It is also accredited by the Foundation for International Business Accreditation Administration (FIBAA).
Programs
ESMT Berlin has four MBA programs on offer. The Full-time MBA is a 15-month, in-person program with a strong focus on internationalism, as well as specializations in managerial analytics, and innovation and entrepreneurship.
The Executive MBA at ESMT Berlin is an 18-month program for candidates with significant managerial experience. The Executive MBA takes place in-person, with six modules in Berlin and four modules abroad.
The Part-time MBA is a blended, 24-month program, with 75% of the program taking place online and the other 25% face-to-face. This program is for candidates with a minimum of three years’ professional experience and focuses on technology and innovation.
Finally, ESMT’s Global Online MBA is a flexible, 24-60-month program, in which 90% of the program is self-paced and 10% is live. The program is grounded in general management, with a unique combination of technology, innovation, and global electives.
Scholarships
ESMT Berlin offers a wide variety of scholarships. For the Full-time MBA program, scholarships are organized into two categories. Automatic scholarships are automatically awarded based on whether students meet certain criteria. This includes e.g. early application scholarships.
Application-driven scholarships, on the other hand, require students to answer a specific question, which will be collected during the regular MBA application process. The list and details of application-driven scholarships can be found on the official website of the school.
As for the Global Online MBA program, ESMT offers early bird discounts.

- The program will start on June 2, 2025.
- Early Application Deadline: January 26, 2025.
Applications received by this date will be eligible for a €2,000 tuition discount.
- Final application deadline: May 4, 2025.
Applications received after this date will be considered on a case-by-case basis; entry for June 2025 cannot be guaranteed.
- October 2025. Applications open on March 1, 2025. The September intake will start on October 6, 2025.
- Early Application Deadline: June 8, 2025.
Applications received by this date will be eligible for a €2,000 tuition discount.
- Final application deadline: September 7, 2025.
Applications received after this date will be considered on a case-by-case basis; entry for October 2025 cannot be guaranteed.
