The GMU School of Business has two campuses. Mason’s Fairfax campus is located on 677 acres of wooded land within 25 minutes of downtown Washington, D.C. Mason Square (formerly the Arlington Campus) is in the busy urban area of Virginia Square.
Both campuses benefit greatly from their close proximity to Washington, D.C., which is not only home to the seat of government but also to some of the biggest organizations in the United States and beyond. This includes companies like Amazon, Microsoft, T-Mobile, Expedia, and Deloitte. GMU School of Business graduates will, therefore, have no shortage of exciting internship and career opportunities.
The George Mason University School of Business offers two MBA programs. The Mason MBA is a flexible, part-time, 48-credit program, designed for working professionals with a minimum of two years of work experience. Programs take place in the evening (or online), with the main learning methodology consisting of case methods, connecting business theory with practice, role-playing, simulations, and guest speakers.
The GMU School of Business also offers an online MBA – a 33-month, part-time program for working professionals living anywhere in the world. The curriculum centers around four primary areas: collaborative communication and leadership, knowledge of functional business disciplines, analytical decision-making, and contemporary issues in business.
Both MBA programs do not require GMAT or GRE scores upon application.
George Mason University is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International). The AACSB accreditation represents the highest standard of achievement for business schools.
The GMU School of Business offers a range of MBA scholarships and financial aid. This includes Mason Foundation scholarships, which are open to all graduate students. Candidates can apply for scholarships upon acceptance into their program. Graduate Fellowships are also awarded to exceptional master’s students with an interest in research projects.
The GMU School of Business is dedicated to ensuring that business is used as a force for good. The school’s Business for a Better World Center (B4BW) is an initiative guided by the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. The center’s most popular project is the Honey Bee Initiative, which is a program designed to support environmental health, economic progress, and food security by saving the bees. B4BW partners with local government, businesses, non-profit organizations, and community members to empower communities through sustainable beekeeping.
