The mission of the MIT Sloan School of Management is to develop principled, innovative leaders who improve the world and to generate ideas that advance management practice.

Location

MIT Sloan is in the heart of Cambridge’s bustling Kendall Square neighborhood. Cambridge is home to tech giants, startups, and companies as well as great restaurants, arts, music, and culture. The Boston area is home to 60 colleges and universities, making it a young, intellectually stimulating, lively, and vibrant place to be.

Accreditations

MIT Sloan School of Management is accredited by AACSB. The AACSB International (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) accreditation represents the highest standard of achievement for business schools worldwide.

Programs

MIT Sloan has three MBA programs. The Full-Time MBA is a 24-month, on-campus program. The MIT Sloan Fellows MBA is a full-time, 12-month immersive Executive MBA program for senior executives and business professionals. The MIT Executive MBA is a part-time, 20-month program for mid-career professionals.

Scholarships

There are no MBA scholarships. However, MIT Sloan provides a number of fellowships for the MBA program. Students will be considered for these fellowship awards automatically, dependent upon their eligibility, and need not submit an additional application. MIT Sloan also provides fellowships for the EMBA programs including the Forté Foundation Fellowships ( for female candidates), the Dean's Fellowships ( awarded based on merit), and The Legatum Fellowship ( for entrepreneurs). All admitted candidates are considered automatically for these fellowships.

Fun fact

MIT Sloan has three entrepreneurship competitions: the Pitch $100K Competition, Accelerate, and Launch Contests that award over $350,000 in prize money each year. The competitions are a great way for students to start their entrepreneurship careers. Additionally, MIT Sloan’s E-Lab project puts students on projects with local tech startups for 1 or 2 days a week to gain real-life experience.
