Location

Raleigh's

got a bit of everything - Southern charm, tech brains, and just the right amount of weird. It’s home to NC State, which means the place pulses with student energy, tailgates, and late-night biscuit runs. You’ll find oak-lined streets, breweries that take their hops way too seriously, and a surprising number of people who know way too much about basketball. It’s the kind of city where you can spend the the morning in class, the afternoon studying, and the evening at a bluegrass bar, and still make it to class the next morning (probably).

Accreditations

NC State’s Poole College of Management is fully accredited by AACSB International—the gold standard for business schools worldwide. AACSB first granted accreditation in 2000, and in 2010 Poole added specialized accreditation for its accounting program, joining fewer than 5% of schools globally with both honors.

That means both its business and accounting degrees meet rigorous standards across teaching, research and continuous improvement, so students get an education that’s recognized for quality and impact.

Fun fact

As of fall 2020, Jenkins is one of a small number of business schools designated as a STEM MBA.

Poole College of Management is named after a CPA. Lonnie C. Poole Jr., founder of Waste Industries and NC State alum, gave the college its name after a major donation in 2010. So yes, this place literally has accounting in its DNA.
