Location
The Stockholm School of Economics is located in the center of Stockholm, a city with a high quality of life, excellent employment prospects, and an enviable work-life balance. Stockholm is one of Europe’s most beautiful capital cities, with stunning archipelago islands and plenty of green parks and nature reserves.
It is the beating economic heart of a nation that has always been at the vanguard of pioneering social, economic, and political policies, as well as producing some of the most famous and influential brands in the world today. The likes of H&M, Ericsson, IKEA, and Spotify all originated in Sweden and have all hired SSE graduates. Accreditations
The Stockholm School of Economics was the first Swedish university to be fully accredited by the European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS).
SSE is also a member of the Global Alliance in Management Education (CEMS), the International Consortium for Executive Development Research (ICEDR), the Association of Professional Schools of International Affairs (APSIA), the European University of Social Sciences (CIVICA), and the Global Network for Advanced Management (GNAM).
Programs
The Stockholm School of Economics offers a flagship Executive MBA, a part-time, 18-month program for professionals who are looking to lead within international organizations. The program takes place on three continents, and includes three international field trips to Latvia, Singapore, and Silicon Valley, US.
The program lets you earn both an MBA degree and three additional certificates in collaboration with Stanford Center for Professional Development (SCPD), National University of Singapore (NUS) and your elective course with the Global Network for Advanced Management (GNAM). https://globalnetwork.io/
The SSE MBA ranks particularly well when it comes to work experience, corporate social responsibility, and gender equality. Sustainability, which is so ingrained in Swedish society, is also integrated throughout the program. Students can choose from a wide-ranging set of elective courses at member schools of GNAM as well as SSE campuses, such as Nordic Entrepreneurship, Negotiations, Advanced Finance, Advanced Accounting.
Scholarships
The Stockholm School of Economics offers scholarships for the SSE MBA. The SSE MBA Scholarship covers the full tuition fee and is awarded to candidates with experience and potential in creating new value through entrepreneurship or intrapreneurship, and in promoting sustainable business in an international market.
The SSE MBA Corporate Partner Scholarship covers the full tuition fee and is awarded to a top-performing manager employed by one of SSE’s Corporate Partners.
The SSE MBA Carl Silfvén Scholarship covers the full tuition fee as well as traveling and accommodation costs up to a certain amount and is awarded to a candidate with a degree in a non-business subject who works at a Swedish organization anywhere in the world.
Finally, the SSE MBA NSHK Scholarship is awarded to high-potential managers working at a Norsk-Svenska Handelskammaren (NSHK) member company, with a diverse background, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a proven record of successful leadership.
