The Whitman School of Management is located in Syracuse, which lies at the crossroads of several North American cities including Toronto, Montreal, Boston, and New York City. The university’s iconic urban campus is set on 270 acres of rolling hills, located next to Marshall Street, where students can enjoy a variety of shops and boutiques, as well as more than 20 restaurants. Accreditations
The Whitman School of Management is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), one of the leading accrediting bodies of business schools. First accredited in 1920, the Whitman School was the 16th business school in the country to receive AACSB accreditation.
Programs
The Whitman School of Management offers three MBA programs. The full-time MBA is a STEM-designed program, which can be completed in two years. Students can specialize in up to two of seven concentrations: Accounting, Business Analytics, Entrepreneurship and Emerging Enterprises, Finance, Marketing Management, Real Estate, or Supply Chain Management.
The Whitman School’s Online MBA is a flexible, online program that can be completed within 24 months. Students will attend three in-person residencies during the program in a weekend-conference-style experience, where they will further explore business trends and network with classmates, faculty, and business leaders.
Lastly, the Defense Comptrollership Program (MBA/EMPA) is a 14-month program. A unique collaboration between the Whitman School and the US Department of Defense, the program is designed for future comptrollers, equipping them with the practical tools and management skills required in today’s complex environment.
Scholarships
The Whitman School of Management offers scholarships for MBA applicants. All scholarships for the full-time MBA are merit-based and students do not need to apply separately for these scholarships.
The school also encourages MBA applicants to explore scholarships, fellowships, and loans provided by external institutions.

Whitman’s current initiatives include partnerships with the National Black MBA Association to increase placement rates of Black student members, as well as the EY/Whitman Young Executives of Color Initiative to introduce high school students from historically underrepresented minority communities to Whitman’s faculty, staff, and alumni of color.
