School

Location

The KU School of Business is located in the state-of-the-art Capitol Federal Hall building in Lawrence, Kansas. The beautiful hilltop campus is located in the spirited college town of Lawrence that attracts students from all over the US. Lawrence lies on the Kansas river and students can enjoy a laid-back vibe, riverside cafe culture, and plenty of green pockets. The campus has over 600 clubs and organizations. ranging from sports clubs to sororities.

Accreditations

The KU School of Business is accredited by AACSB. The AACSB International (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) accreditation represents the highest standard of achievement for business schools worldwide.

Programs

The KU School of Business offers two MBA programs. The Full-time MBA is a cohort-based 16-month program designed for students without a background in business. To be eligible, applicants must have a bachelor’s degree, GMAT scores, two letters of recommendation, and English proficiency (for non-US applicants). The Online MBA is a fully online, part-time program that can be completed in 27 months.

Scholarships

The KU School of Business offers a few scholarships to postgraduate students studying business. This includes the Mark and Angela Pringle Scholarship which aims to diversify KU’s student body (awarded to racial and ethnic minority groups; LGBTQ+; or persons with a disability); the Business Leadership Program that provides aid to exceptional students with leadership qualities; and the Multicultural Business Scholars Program (MBSP) that creates opportunities for students of diverse backgrounds.

Fun fact

KU Business School’s campus at the newly built Capitol Federal Hall building, a $70.5 million 166,500-square-foot building includes the KU School of Business Art Collection. The collection was made possible thanks to a generous donation from a group of alumni. The collection consists of 150 works that feature along the hallways and public spaces throughout Capitol Federal Hall. The fund to support the collection was created to honor former Dean Neeli Bendapudi, who requested that the gift be used for the purchase and showcase of significant works of art as an expression of the necessity for creative minds in the business.
