School

Location

UMIO’s campus is in the student city of Maastricht, in the South of the Netherlands. Maastricht has medieval-era architecture and a vibrant cultural scene. Belgium and Germany are just a short train ride away and so are major Dutch cities such as Rotterdam and Amsterdam.

Accreditations

UMIO holds the prestigious triple-crown accreditation: EQUIS, AACSB, and AMBA. EQUIS is an international accreditation awarded by the European Foundation of Management Development (EFMD). EFMD is an international accreditation organization for business schools, based in Brussels. The AACSB International (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) accreditation represents the highest standard of achievement for business schools worldwide. The Association of MBAs (AMBA) is an international impartial authority on postgraduate business education, established in 1967.

Programs

UMIO offers two Executive MBA programs. The Maastricht Executive MBA is a part-time, 24-month, English-taught program for mid-level working professionals with a minimum of five years of work experience. The Maastricht Executive MBA Online track is a part-time, 24-month, English-taught program that is available in a hybrid format, designed for busy working professionals.

Fun fact

The Maastricht MBA Women Business Network (WBN) is an initiative started by Maastricht MBA students. WBN was created to provide personal and professional support to female business students. WBN facilitates networking opportunities with current students, alumni, and like-minded organizations as well as international business representatives and leaders in a wide range of sectors and industries. The program acts as a platform for interaction and the sharing of knowledge and experience pertinent to women in business.
