The University of Bath School of Management is located in Claverton Down, a suburb on the east side of Bath. The campus offers a range of facilities, including several cafés, prayer rooms, a swimming pool, a nursery, and student accommodation.
The university is investing GBP£70 million into a new School of Management building, equipped with the latest technology, as well as a Student Entrepreneurship Lab, an Employment Hub, a Behavioral Research Lab, an HPC Supply Chain Innovation Lab, eight lecture theaters, a 250-seat auditorium, and plenty of study and leisure spaces.
Bath itself is one of England’s most striking cities. A prosperous city with almost four million visitors every year, Bath is home to two world-class universities as well as flourishing creative, IT, and publishing industries. It lies just 15 minutes away from the larger city of Bristol, which adds to the region’s pool of employment opportunities and cultural offerings.
The University of Bath School of Management has two MBA programs. The Bath MBA is a full-time, one-year program for candidates with a minimum of three years of experience at a management level. The program features a unique Multi-Project Suite, in which students will complete four projects instead of one final project. This allows students to tackle a variety of business problems within different organizations and industries.
The Executive MBA is a part-time, two-year program for candidates with at least five years of managerial experience. With a focus on personal and professional development, the Executive MBA consists of several core modules – such as Leadership and Change, Business Analytics, and Strategic HRM – as well as a final consulting project worth 33% of the final degree.
The University of Bath School of Management is accredited by the Association of MBAs (AMBA) and the EFMD Quality Improvement System (EQUIS).
The University of Bath School of Management offers an array of MBA scholarships to candidates from diverse sectors and regions. Scholarships cover either GBP£10,000 or GBP£15,000 of the full tuition fee.
Other University of Bath scholarships include the Sir Jack Cater Scholarship (awarded to candidates from select universities in Hong Kong), the Deb Lewis MBA Scholarships (awarded to candidates who have been based in a certain region for at least three years and have been directly impacted by the coronavirus pandemic), and the Chevening Scholarship (awarded to candidates from Chevening-eligible countries).
Corporate sponsorships are also available.
Bath is an evolving city, where students will be surrounded by exciting opportunities and a leading design, technology, and engineering sector. In fact, this region of the UK has an economy worth GBP£25.5 billion a year and is home to a third of UK-owned FTSE 100 companies. The South West of England has also seen a huge growth in the digital sectors, attracting companies like Amazon, IBM, Oracle, Airbus, and Apple.
Besides Bath’s impressive business ties, the city offers numerous social and cultural activities, connections to other major cities in the UK, and facilities for families. Bath is a safe city and was recently named the best city in the UK for families, due to its high-quality local schools and childcare options. Families of international students on a student visa might also be able to live in the UK.
