Accreditations
Miami Herbert’s MBA programs are accredited by EQUIS and AACSB. EQUIS is an international accreditation awarded by the European Foundation of Management Development (EFMD). EFMD is an international accreditation organization for business schools, based in Brussels. The AACSB International (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) accreditation represents the highest standard of achievement for business schools worldwide.
The Miami Herbert institution has been accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC); and the Education Quality Accreditation Agency (EQUAA), whose mission is to increase the academic quality of programs, institutes, careers, faculties, and universities, and other educational units in Latin America and the world.
Programs
The Miami Herbert Business School offers several MBA programs. The Full-Time MBA is a 21-month, on-campus program for early-career professionals with at least three years of work experience. The Accelerated MBA is a 7-month, full-time, on-campus program for candidates with an undergraduate or graduate degree in business. The Online MBA is a part-time, 20-month online program with short on-campus immersion sessions. The Accelerated MBA in Real Estate is a 19-month, full-time, on-campus program for candidates with an undergraduate degree. The Global Executive MBA is a hybrid 1-2 years, full-time program for entrepreneurs and mid/senior level professionals. The Executive MBA for Health Management and Policy is a full-time, 21-month program for business leaders in the healthcare sector. The Global OneMBA is a full-time, 1-2 year program with a strong international focus. And lastly, The Evening and Weekend MBA Program is a part-time, 21-month program for working professionals. The school also offers a selection of dual-degree MBA programs.
Scholarships
Miami Herbert Business School offers a variety of merit-based scholarships and fellowships for graduate applicants. This includes the Graduate Business Fellowships ( awarded on academic and professional merit), the Double 'Cane Scholarship ( awarded on merit to Miami University Alumni), and the Florida First Scholarship (awarded to Florida state residents on the basis of academic or professional accomplishments).
Fun fact
Miami Herbert has a Student Managed Investment Fund program with more than $1,000,000 in assets under management. The fund acts as an investment portfolio and a sequence of classes that provides students with real-world investment management and decision-making experience in both asset allocation and security selection. Participants of the class act as analysts who make stock selection decisions and portfolio managers that focus on risk management. This class is open to full-time graduate students who are interested in gaining real-life experience and knowledge about the investment management industry.
