“Every time I think about RSM, what it evokes to me is the sense of community. It is a very diverse program, but it is a very intimate program. And while you’re sitting shoulder to shoulder with people from South Africa, Taiwan, Guatemala, and everywhere in between, you feel like you’re sitting in a UN General Assembly of all these different folks. And now I have friends in all four corners of the world,” Daniel says. (00:48)

Daniel highlights, “I think prior to coming to RSM, my worldview was quite limited to the world that I knew, the businesses that I was in, the companies that I had worked for. But in a very compressed program, being able to just immerse yourself in so many different businesses and so many different strategies, I was able to bring all that learning back quite quickly and apply it into my job.” (02:47)

He could immediately apply what he had learned in his job, offering new insights and competencies that helped him excel in his career.
In addition, outside of the classroom, Daniel’s experience of studying abroad, meeting new people, and expanding his mindset helped to renew his confidence and curiosity.
He emphasizes, “There’s so many things that you learn outside of the classroom that I also brought home. It was just this renewed sense of confidence, this ability to know that I am inspired by my own success, and being able to champion that and let that momentum take me into places that I never would have thought possible. It’s not something that I had going into the program, but certainly something I brought back to Canada.” (03:14)
