Location
The Donald and Lygia Lucas Hall is home to the Leavey School of Business, equipped with 12 classrooms, 102 faculty offices, 16 team project rooms, six large executive classrooms, a 100-seat seminar room, and a café.
The school is based in Silicon Valley, California, arguably the best-known tech hub in the world. In Silicon Valley, you’ll find the global headquarters of some of the biggest tech companies in the world, including Google, Facebook, eBay, Apple, LinkedIn, and Netflix. As a result, the surrounding area has the highest concentration of tech professionals of any metropolitan area, making it one of the most prosperous regions in the world.
Besides the prominent tech industry, the weather and outdoor activities in Silicon Valley – and California at large – are not too shabby. At SCU Leavey, students can enjoy a range of scenery, from the beach to the city to majestic forests, and plenty of sunshine.
Accreditations
SCU Leavey is accredited by the Association for Advancement of Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International), a global nonprofit association dedicated to ensuring excellence in education.
Programs
SCU Leavey offers three MBA programs. The Online MBA is a two-year, online (asynchronous) program, for professionals with at least three years of work experience. Candidates in the Online MBA hail from a wide variety of industries, from finance and healthcare to government and engineering.
The Evening MBA is also a two-year program, with evening classes twice a week. Students in the Evening MBA have an average of eight years of work experience. The MBA curriculum consists of 14 core courses, one required elective, and 26 additional electives.
The Executive MBA at SCU Leavey is a 20-month, part-time program for candidates with 10 or more years of work experience. The newly-designed program is built on the following foundations: Innovative & Entrepreneurial Mindset, Strategic Leadership, Analytical Aptitude, and Cross-Functional Education.
Scholarships
SCU Leavey offers merit-based scholarships for MBA applicants, based on professional accomplishments and academic performance, including transcripts, GMAT or GRE scores, and recent coursework.
All SCU alumni who are admitted to the SCU Leavey Evening MBA program receive a US$1,000 scholarship.
